The iPhone Clones Roaming About
Even before the iPhone was even introduced into the market, a number of iPhone clones had already been up and about.
Photoshopped mockups of iPhone clones are known to have abounded websites from all over the world, confusing people from the real deal iPhone from iPhone clones. These digitally manipulated images of iPhone clones were either made to impress or fool, but either way further fueled the anticipation over the actual release of the iPhone.
The iPhone, the real deal iPhone now, is basically a 2.75G quad-band GSM mobile phone. It comes with an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera, Wireless Fidelity connection capabilities, as well as an impressive storage system, which, depending on which model type, could hold 4 gigabytes or 8 gigabytes of data. It has text messaging capabilities, web browsing and email reading and sending, as its primary communications features. It impressively performs well as an iPod alternative, featuring a much more detailed user interface, making the whole act of compiling playlists or selecting songs easy and fast. As a portable video player, its 3.5 wide inch screen is impressive already.
It works on an optimized version of the Mac OS X operating system, which eats up about 700 megabytes of file storage space. All in all, it is simply impressive, with its touch screen feature already setting standards in touch screens for mobile phones.
A number of iPhone clones, meaing iPhone knockoffs, non-photograph-only iPhone clones, were already up and about even before the actual release of the iPhone.
Knowing just who the real iPhone is now, here are some of those iPhone clones.
The Deeda Pi Phone iPhone Clone
The Deeda Pi Phone actually has one thing common with most i-products; a witty name. The Deeda Pi Phone comes with Bluetooth connectivity and Wi-Fi connection capabilities, which are actually quite impressive. It boasts a 3.6 inch wide display boasting an even more impressive 800x480 screen resolution. As an iPhone clone, the Deeda Pi Phone resembles much to the real deal iPhone, but only resembles, not equals.
The i-Mobile
This iPhone clone features a 1.8 inch screen, and resembles the iPod mini. It has an integrated camera, and even boasts a touch screen feature, with a “handwriting regcognition” feature. Its 2.0 megapixel camera is simply impressive, even if it were an iPhone clone.
Bottom line, nothing beats the real thing. The abovementioned iPhone clones, may have impressive features, but are simply outperformed by the real deal iPhone.
